Description

Flaxseed is the plant kingdom's best source of the essential fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). ALA is converted by the body into DHA and EPA - omega-3 fatty acids that are found primarily in fatty fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel.

In addition to flax's potent omega-3 punch, these tiny seeds are also the richest source cancer-fighting nutrients called lignans.

Because your body can't derive the full benefit of flaxseeds if you consume them whole, grind flaxseed in a coffee grinder.
